Delivered a message at the High-Level Meeting to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the United Nations.
The UN has played a key role giving all countries, including small states like Singapore, a voice in the international system. It must remain relevant and fit for purpose, to address current and future global challenges, including pandemics, climate change, extremist terrorism, sustainable development and cybersecurity.
Singapore is committed to supporting the UN and the values and ideals of the UN Charter. I wish the UN a Happy 75th Birthday and every success in the years ahead. – LHL
